The most important consideration when competing overseas is ensuring you have appropriate insurance. Many travel insurance providers with snow sports cover specifically exclude coverage for competitions. Depending on your individual circumstances it is recommended that all athletes have insurance that specifically covers competitive snow sports. In addition when competing overseas for any FIS level events, all entries must be managed via the domestic National Sporting Association i.e. Snow Australia.
